A Sweet Success: Summer Ice Cream Social & Family Night at Lakehills Community Center

On Saturday, June 1st, 2024, the Lakehills Community Center buzzed with excitement and joy as we hosted our Summer Ice Cream Social & Family Night. The event was a smashing success, bringing together friends, families, and volunteers for an evening filled with laughter, games, and, of course, delicious ice cream!

A Community United

As one of the co-coordinators, it was an absolute pleasure to see months of planning and preparation come to fruition. With the invaluable help of mentors Tricia Dillenberg, Gail Cooper, and Kelly Beedle the event exceeded all expectations. Their guidance and support were instrumental in ensuring everything ran smoothly, and I couldn't have asked for better partners in this endeavor.

 Fun and Games for Everyone

From the moment the gates opened at 6:00 PM, the community center was alive with activity. Families enjoyed a variety of fun-filled activities, including:

Wagon Rides- provided by Lake Medina RV Resort, which delighted kids and adults alike as they toured the beautiful surroundings.

Corn Hole- games that brought out friendly competition and teamwork.

Water Balloons and Other Yard Games- that kept the children entertained and laughing throughout the evening.

Delicious Treats and Delights

No summer event is complete without scrumptious treats. Attendees enjoyed a delightful spread of:

Ice Cream- with various topping flavors, catering to all tastes.
Hotdogs and Watermelon- providing the perfect summer snacks to keep everyone energized.

A Heartfelt Thank You

A special shout-out to all the volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure everything was perfect. Your dedication is deeply appreciated.
